Old Friends

I miss you old friends. When I look at you, my heart aches. I want to be with you again. There was a time when we weren't weren't comfortable with each other. When I was single we were very close. Even after I got married we maintained a good relationship. Suddenly when I got pregnant I noticed the distance. It was me who pulled away, but you were always there patiently waiting for me to come back. You always added such color and style to my life. When it comes to friends, you were always a perfect "10". Now I'm hanging out with others, "12"s and "14"s. I'm quite comfy with my new friends, but I sure miss my perfect "10"s. We'll be together again; I promise. Just give me time to feel like myself again. You always were and always will be my beautiful size 10 clothes.

Cheers,
Elena

  1. Hi Elena!!! This is exactly what I was waiting for. I as well started a blog, but for some reason I did not tell anyone about it. Anyway, after 3 pregnancies on absolut bedrest, I have gained the gracious amount of 70 lbs! and obviously my self-esteem is hurt, my self-image is poor, but my husband still loves me! so that's what keeps me moving forward.
I think the key to weight loss success is to be accountable to someone. So, let's start losing weight together!!! yay!!!

  2. Yes, let's do it! The reason I call this my "journey" and "confession" is that it is a weight loss journey, but I also fail and feel I have to "confess" to someone if I'm ever going to get better. (Recently, for example, I sat and ate half a bag of chocolate chips. Where's the will-power in that?!) And since I don't have anyone here to work-out with or that I'm really close to, maybe I can have an online community of women where we help each other. You're awesome Yayi. I know we can do this!!!
